The U.S. Department of State uses science and technology to foster a global environment where invention, innovation, and industry can thrive through the ever-changing technical arena of international affairs. To support the Secretary of State’s Modernization Agenda of acquiring more specialized talent in the Civil Service, the STEM Fellowship brings in fresh talent into the Department’s global technology environment. The STEM Fellowship vacancies are posted on an ongoing and as-needed basis starting in mid-August 2022 and are open to U.S. citizens who completed their formal education in one of the identified Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines, as described in the USAJOBS announcement.
