Due to the extraordinary and unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the June Foreign Service Officer Test (May 30-June 6, 2020) and the May registration period for the FSOT are temporarily postponed. The Board of Examiners and Pearson VUE will announce shortly new test and registration dates, with the next FSOT to be offered in July 2020. The safety and security of the American people, our workforce, and prospective candidates remains a top priority for the U.S. Department of State during this unprecedented period. Candidates should consider drafting their Personal Narratives now in order to best secure their preferred test site and time once registration for the next FSOT opens.
Keep informed about the FSOT and read COVID-19-related updates at this link: https://home.pearsonvue.com/fsot.
    Be safe.

Thank you for the information. Is that the reason why the first step of the eligibility verification step has changed from April 30th to August 26th? I had waited weeks to apply but was surprised with a change of date.
