As you can see through researching the CF program, Persian/Farsi is not a language supported by the program. There are no CF positions for any to be “open.”

You can go to USAjobs.gov and check for other federal positions that may require knowledge of Farsi.

    Hello, Ellie,
Thanks for your question. While Farsi is not a qualifying language for the Consular Fellow Program, you may want to consider a Foreign Service Officer or Foreign Service Specialist position. Speaking a foreign language is not a pre-requisite. A good overview is our brochure, Becoming a Foreign Service Officer / Specialist, available from our Downloads Center (link is at the top of our web pages). For further details, click on “Work,” then “Worldwide/Foreign Service.”
You may also want to take a look at our Civil Service opportunities. Click on “Work,” then “Domestic/Civil Service.”
Once you’ve covered the material on our website, connect with us by reaching out to the Diplomat in Residence serving your region to learn of information sessions and by signing up for email notifications on jobs that interest you. We hope this is helpful.
    Best regards.
