    So we now have a CR. Any chance of deciding if there will be a class in 4 weeks or not? Green checks? Cats? Crickets? 🙂

    The word now is no more A-100s for all of FY18. If that’s true, are they really going to let everyone on the Pol, Econ, and PD registers rot on the vine?

    @seriously: It sure looks that way. Reddit and others on the inside indicate no classes for 2018. Green Check-mark Person will only tell you to contact your registrar. Good luck with that.

    Thank you Green Check. Does this mean that the CF class was granted hiring authority by an unofficial decision? How can a verdict be reach on CF classes, but not on generalist A-100 classes?

    No. This means that that there has been no official decision as to the number of job offers the Department will extend in 2018. So the word you indicated you had heard, that there would be no A-100 classes held in 2018, does not reflect the status of hiring plans for 2018. We hope this information is helpful.

    What would be very helpful sme is knowing when there will be classes and whether we will be excluded unless we are fellows.

    If they made decisions on the CF register, surely something has been decided for A-100. Would it be that difficult to just tell people whether there will be a January class, and if not when there will be a class?

    They literally just said that no official hiring decision has been made. What do you expect them to tell you? Unofficial gossip? They’d be fired.
