I, um, started off after college in investment banking and decided that wasn’t quite the field that I aspired to be in. I just I was more interested in what was going on in the world and investment banking seemed very rudimentary and I mean, you do one process, you basically replicate it whereas there was just a lot more complexity to the foreign policy, how it’s shaped, the different players so I was more interested in going towards that field. The beauty of being an economic officer is that you can take it any direction you want.
