My son is excited about his summer internship but there are high security concerns at his site. Is there a process for possibly changing to another assignment ?

Student interns are not offered internships in danger or high-threat locations. If your son has a real concern about his assignment, he could speak with his Bureau contact to see if there are any options. If not, and if he is apprehensive or concerned about his assignment, he could always decline the internship offer.
