From what I have read through on this message board, all applicants for the summer internship 2012 would be notified by the end of last week if they were or were not selected, via email. I haven't received any email, nor any indication either way of selection/rejection- is it just safe to assume I wasn't picked? (P.S. My application status reads: Referred for additional consideration, I figured this may give you a better indication of my status). Thank you.

Hello,

I sent an email late last Thursday night to careers@state.gov, and I haven't been contacted with a response yet. I just wanted to double check, if possible, that my email was actually received. Perhaps I sent it to the wrong address? Thank you.

Your email was indeed received on Feb. 2, and I forwarded it to Student Programs on Feb. 3. I just sent a followup to Student Programs regarding your request. You should hear from them soon.
