Hi, I applied for the internship, but I do not think that my additional resume got through, where can I find another cover letter to fax this resume, or is it too late to be put in my file?

Hi, Caroline,
If you have already submitted your Department of State Internship application, you can always go back into your application at any time, up until the closing of the vacancy announcement. This is actually recommended. By doing so, you can confirm that all required documents have successfully been attached to your application.
Remember, you can attach your transcript and other documents to your application by one of two methods. The recommended method is to upload it to your application. This means you have the documents saved on your own computer, and you simply transfer the documents. In the “Documents” section, you will see a green upward arrow and a green “Upload” link directing you in this process. The second method is by fax. You will see a blue link for “FAX”. Once in that link, you will see a button to “Generate Cover Sheet” . The necessary phone number is on the cover sheet. The cover sheet will have a bar code on it, which automatically attaches the document to your application. If the fax is successful, and the document attaches, you should receive an automatic e-mail. However, if you do not, you can always go back into your application. In the Document Section, there will be a link for any documents that you have successfully attached. You can open them to confirm they are there. After which, you can resubmit your application.
Important Note: Attaching documents by fax is the less reliable method. Especially on the final day(s) of the vacancy announcement, when a great many people are seeking to get their applications in before the deadline. We only accept applications which are complete when the vacancy announcement closes, meaning that the required documents are attached prior to the closing. If documents being faxed do not successfully attach to your application for any reason before the closing of the announcement, the application will still be considered incomplete. The volume of applications does not make it feasible for the Department of State to seek to remedy every instance where required documents do not successfully attach to an application. Especially as it is often very difficult to determine whether the error was human or technical. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the applicant to submit their complete application in a timely manner, and to verify that all require documents are attached.

If USAJOBS shows that they were successfully uploaded, they will be able to be reviewed by those reviewing your application.
