I looked on http://www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ to see if my school's master degree program is accredited and I could not find it.
If the Dept. of Education is giving me loans to cover the full tuition and costs of the program does that assume the program is accredited in Dept. of State's view?
Thanks,
David

You will need to check with your institution and/or the Department of Education to see if your institution is accredited in the US.

I am in a similar situation and I called the university where I will be studying and they asked what specific kind of accreditation is needed? Does my specific Master“s program need accreditation or the university as a whole? Also, if I cannot get this information before the application due date (the university is on summer vacation until March 4), can I still apply and send the accreditation information after the application deadline?
Thank you.
Thank you.

According to the Student Programs Information Brochure, one must be accepted for enrollment, or enrolled, as a degree seeking student in an accredited college or university. All information required on the application must be submitted at the time of the application with the exception of official transcripts. A non-official transcript is required with the application. Those selected will need to provide an official transcript prior to starting an internship.

If the University is accredited under Title IV, US DOE, and I am able to use federal loans for the program then would that be seen as a positive in the eyes of the Dept of State? It seems I am having a big problem finding the answer to this question at the UNI and at DOE.
Thanks,
