Hi,
I am an undergraduate, at VA Tech, and live on campus in Blacksburg, VA. I would love to apply for Fall 2012 internship, however, Im a bit puzzled at how I'll be able to make this work, if I live in Blacksburg, and work in DC, during Fall 2012. Can you pls. clarify how this works? Or are Fall internships targeted to students studying in the DC area?

Those selected for fall 2012 student internships work in the Washington, D.C. area and at some of our US embassies/US consulates overseas. There may also be internship opportunities outside of Washington,D.C. (such as in NY and other places --but unfortunately not in the Blacksburg, VA area). We have many applicants from outside of the Washington, D.C. area. If they are assigned to Washington, D.C. they find temporary lodging in the area for the duration of their internships. Those selected work for a minimum of 10 weeks--full time.
