Good day, I received a very confusing email today from the The Student Programs Branch, Office of Recruitment, Examination, and Employment (HR/REE).
It stated that "Unfortunately, you were not selected for an internship for this cycle." This is bizarre, as I was already been selected as a primary for my respective embassy, and had already confirmed that I would be attending this Summer.
Might this be for the other (2nd) position that we mark on our application?
Either way, it's a little bit conflicting to hear two different things.

I'm sure you're quite busy with all the questions here, though I was wondering when Student Programs will get back to us? I sent out two emails a week and a half ago, and still haven't heard back yet. I just really want to get started on the security packet.

I remember forwarding your email. Please send careers@state.gov another email outlining your issue. Be sure to include your full name/contact info. I will then forward it to student programs tomorrow as a priority message and will also follow up with a phone call.
