As a current federal employee, if hired and assigned to a domestic field office, would I receive any relocation assistance? Specifically, would there be reimbursement of closing costs when I sell my house?

Closing costs do not qualify as reimbursable expenses when traveling to Washington, DC for orientation.

I wasn't referring to relocating just for orientation...
If offered a position with DS as an agent and I accept, I'll head to FSI for 3 weeks of orientation, followed by 12 weeks of training at FLETC, and another 4 months or so of training at DSTC. At the end of all this training, I'll head to a field office for a 2-3 year assignment - at which point, I'll move my family from our home to a new location.
When I move my family after training and sell my current house... that's the point in time I'm talking about.
Thanks!

As a former Federal Employee you do get benefits that other new hires do not get. Certain costs associated with moving is provided but you should contact someone at State HR to get details.

No, you do not get reimbursed for closing costs on a home at any point during your employment with State. Reimbursement is up to the agency; it is not an employee-wide rule or law.
